Profile

I'm a solid character actor. As a storyteller, I'm fairly physical, but not in a big, dramatic way. The stories should be able to all but tell themselves -- and telling is about the tale, not the teller.

My photography . . . Some travel, few people, mostly macro shots. I have a passion for texture. Not much of one for arranging, I think of myself as a witness, rather than an artist. My shots bear testimony to what was, for one instant, in one angle of light.

My short fiction and poetry tend to lurk in the shadows. Mu storytelling, in contrast, lingers in the light (a rather longer-lasting one than that seen in the photographs). My longer works walk the border between reality and fantasy, occasionally tipping into one land or the other.

I get itchy if I haven't travelled in a while (a few weeks) and if I haven't taken intense exercise (yoga, hiking, spending hours in the gym . . . .

I find myself boring and other people fascinating.
